Esse morro foi destruído apesar de contra a lei para uso do saibro no aterro da vila do pan e na construção do sesi da barra. O ministério público em 2009 se movimentou para embargar a obra. Esse lugar é uma floresta nativa habitat de pássaros como o tucano, micos, araras e outros animais silvestres. Caminhões com o logotipo A SERVIÇO DA PREFEITURA trabalhavam diariamente destruindo o morro.
