పురూలియాభారత రాష్ట్రమైన పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ లోని ఒక నగరం, మునిసిపాలిటీ. ఇది పురూలియా జిల్లాకు ముఖ్య పట్టణం. ఇది కంగ్సబాటి నదికి ఉత్తరాన ఉంది. బంగా విభాగంలోని జిల్లాలులో పురూలియా జిల్లా ఒకటి.[5] జైనభగవతి సూత్ర (5వ శతాబ్దం) అనుసరించి 16 మహాజనపదాలలో ఒకటి. అంతేకాల పురాతన భారతదేశంలో ఇది వజ్రభూమిగా వర్ణించబడిందని విశ్వసిస్తున్నారు.[6][7][8] మద్యయుగంలో ఈ భూమి జార్ఖండ్‌లో భాగంగా ఉంటూ వచ్చింది. పురూలియా ప్రాంతం బ్రిటిష్ ప్రభుత్వానికి ముందు 1765లో దివాన్‌ సుభాష్‌కు ఈ ప్రాంతం బహుమానంగా ఇవ్వబడిందని భావిస్తున్నారు.

పురూలియా జిల్లా చోటా నాగ్‌పూర్ పీఠభూమి పై ఉంది. సాధారణ దృశ్యం చెల్లాచెదురుగా ఉన్న కొండలతో భూమిని నిర్మూలించడం. పురూలియా సదర్ ఉపవిభాగం జిల్లా కేంద్ర భాగాన్ని కలిగి ఉంది. సబ్ డివిజన్లోని మొత్తం జనాభాలో 83.80% గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో నివసిస్తున్నారు. పురూలియా నగరం చుట్టూ కొంత పట్టణీకరణ ఉంది. జనాభాలో 18.58% ప్రజలు జిల్లాలోని ఉపవిభాగాలలో అత్యధికంగా పట్టణ ప్రాంతాల్లో నివసిస్తున్నారు. ఉపవిభాగంలో 4 జనాభా నగరాలు ఉన్నాయి. కంగ్సబాటి (స్థానికంగా కాన్సాయ్ అని పిలుస్తారు) ఉపవిభాగం గుండా విస్తరించి ఉంది. ఈ ఉపవిభాగంలో పాత దేవాలయాలు ఉన్నాయి, వాటిలో కొన్ని 11 వ శతాబ్దానికి లేదా అంతకు ముందు ఉన్నాయి. విశ్వవిద్యాలయం, సైనిక స్కూల్, రామకృష్ణ మిషన్ విద్యాపీట్, హతూరా వద్ద రాబోయే వైద్య కళాశాల వంటి విద్యా సంస్థలు ఉన్నాయి.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]

వేసవి తక్కువ ఉష్ణోగ్రతతో వేడి, పొడిగా ఉంటుంది. ఇది 23 °C నుండి 48 °C మధ్య ఉంటుంది. 2005 జూన్ 18 న 51.1 °C. ల ఉష్ణోగ్రత దేశంలో అత్యధిక స్థాయికి చేరుకుంది.[18] శీతాకాలం పొడి, చల్లగా ఉంటుంది, రోజువారీ ఉష్ణోగ్రత 5 °C నుండి 20 °C మధ్య ఉంటాయి. వర్షాకాలంలో ఎక్కువ వర్షపాతం వస్తుంది.

పురూలియా సదర్ మహిళా పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ 2014 లో భట్బంద్ వద్ద ప్రారంభించబడింది. 2016 నాటికి, ఇది పురూలియా(టి) పిఎస్, పురూలియా(ఎం) పిఎస్, కోట్షిలా పిఎస్, అర్ష పిఎస్, ఝల్డా పిఎస్, జాయ్పూర్ పిఎస్ అధికార పరిధిని కలిగి ఉంది.[22]

పురూలియాలో ఆయుధ పతనం మార్చు

1995 డిసెంబరు18 న, పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ లోని పురూలియాజిల్లా పరిధిలోని జాయ్పూర్ జల్డా ప్రాంతంపై ఒక రహస్య ఆయుధ సరుకును ఆకాశం నుండి పడేశారు. మరుసటి రోజు ఉదయం ఈ సరుకును కనుగొన్నారు. కారణాలు ఇంకా తెలియరాలేదు.[23]
