జైసల్మేర్ జిల్లాలో 3 ఉపవిభాగాలు ఉన్నాయి : జైసల్మేర్, పొక్రాన్ మరియు ఫతేగర్. అదే పేరుతో జిల్లాలో మూడు తాలూకాలు ఉన్నాయి. జిల్లాలో 2 నగగర పాలితాలు (జైసల్మేర్ మరియు పొక్రాన్), 744 గ్రామాలు, 128 గ్రామపంచాయితీలు ఉన్నాయి. జిల్లాలో అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాల బాధ్యతను గ్రామపంచాయితీలు వహిస్తున్నాయి. జిల్లా కేంద్రం జైసల్మేర్ పట్టణానికి 100 కి.మీ దూరంలో ఝింఝియాలి ఉంది. ఝింఝియాలి జైసల్మేర్‌కు నియంత్రణ మరియు నిర్వహణా బాధ్యతను వహిస్తుంది. జైసల్మేర్ సరిహద్దులను రక్షణ బాధ్యత వహిస్తున్న దక్షిణ బసియా (दक्षिणी बसिया) కి ఝింఝియాలి కేంద్రస్థానంలో ఉంది. ఇందులో కనోడియా , పురోహితన్ వంటి గ్రామపంచాయితీలు ఉన్నాయి.
