Vidisha district lies on the Vindhyachal Plateau off the main [[Vindhya Range|Vindhyachal Range]]. The Plateau slopes from south to north and is drained by a number of rivers – the [[Betwa River|Betwa]], the Bina and the [[Sindh River|Sindh]].
