సంకిస ఫరుక్కా‌బాద్‌కు 47 కి.మీ దూరంలో ఉంది. గౌతమ బుద్ధుడు ఇక్కడ తన శిష్యులతో ప్రసంగించాడని విశ్వసిస్తున్నారు. ఇక్కడ బుద్ధుడు వాడుకున్న పక్కి ఇటుకలతో నిర్మించిన పెద్ద ఆసనం ఉంది. ప్రజలు ఇక్కడ చిన్న ఆలయాన్ని నిర్మించారు. అందులో బిసరి దేవి ఆలయం ఉంది. ఇక్కడ త్రవాకాలలో లభించిన అశోక స్థంభం ఉంది. ఇక్కడ శివలింగం కూడా ఉంది. బుద్ధుని వైశాఖ పౌర్ణమి నాడు జన్మదినం రోజు ఇక్కడ పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఉత్సవం నిర్వహించబడుతుంది. శ్రీలంక, వియత్నాం, మాయన్మార్ మొదలైన దేశాలనుండి బౌద్ధమతస్థులు ఇక్కడకు వద్తుంటారు. ఇక్కడ బుద్ధుని విశాలమైన ఆలయం నిర్మిస్తే ఇది ప్రాముఖ్యత సంతరించుకుంటుందని ప్రజలు విశ్వసిస్తున్నారు.
[[Sankassa|Sankisa]] is located about 47 km from Farrukhabad. It is believed to be the place where [[Gautama Buddha|Buddha]], came to preach people along with his followers. There is a big Asana made of pakki bricks. This Asana vas used by Buddha. People forgot the importance of the place. They made a very small temple. put some unidentifiable statues of stones and called it the temple of Bisari Devi. An excavated [[Ashokan pillars|Ashokan elephant pillar]] is also present there. There is also colossal [[Shiva Linga]] here. In the respect of Holly Birthday of Lord Buddha a large fair is held at Sankisa in the month of [[Vaisakha]] (May) every year. Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Myanmar etc. have established big temples of Lord Buddha. This place has become very important to bauddha tourists.
