జిల్లాలో శక్తి నగర్ వద్ద " రాయచూర్ ధర్మల్ పవర్ స్టేషన్ " నుండి [[కర్ణాటక]] రాష్ట్రం విద్యుత్తు అవసరాలకు అధికభాగం విద్యుత్తు లభిస్తుంది. భారతదేశంలో బంగారం లభిస్తున్న ప్రదేశాలలో రాయచూర్ జిల్లా ఒకటి. రాయచూర్ నగరానికి 90 కి.మీ దూరంలో హట్టి బంగారు గనులు ఉన్నాయి. జిల్లాలోని 5 తాలూకాలకు చక్కటి నీటి పారుదల సౌకర్యం లభిస్తుంది. క్రిష్ణానది మీద నారాయణపూర ఆనకట్ట నిర్మించబడింది. రాయచూర్ వరి పంటలకు ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. జిల్లాలో అత్యుత్తమ నాణ్యమైన వరిధాన్యం లభిస్తుంది. రాయచూరులో అనేక రైసు మిల్లులు ఉన్నాయి. ఇక్కడి నుండి ఇతరదేశాలకు బియ్యం ఎగుమతి చేయబడుతున్నాయి. రాయచూరులో పత్తికి మంచి మార్కెట్ వసతి లభిస్తుంది.
