[[1979]] ఆగస్ట్ 15 [[గుర్‌గావ్]] జిల్లా నుండి కొంతభాగం వేరుచేసి ఫరీదాబాద్ జిల్లా రూపొందించబడింది.

 

Faridabad was one of the leading industrial cities of Haryana, a popular choice for setting up industry due to its proximity to Delhi and its location on the [[Delhi]] - Mathura road. Much before the advent of Gurgaon as the posterboy for industrial development in Haryana, Faridabad was the favourite destination of Industries.
