===వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి దేవాలయం===
విష్ణావాలయం వీధి (రు విచెనౌ) లొ ప్రసిద్ధి చెందిన అలివేలు మంగా సహిత వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి దేవాలయం ఉన్నది. ఇక్కడి ప్రజలు చైడికుడి వెంకన్న, మీసాల వెంకన్న అని పిలుస్తారు. ఈ దేవాలయం లొ ఉన్న వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి విగ్రహాం ముఖం మీద మీసాలు ఉన్నాయి. అందువలన ఇక్కడ వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామిని మీసాల వెంకన్న అని పిలుస్తారు. ఈ గుడిని 15 వశతాబ్ధం లొ [[రాజమండ్రి]] ని రాజధాని గా చేసుకొని పరిపాలించిన [[తూర్పు చాళుక్యులు|తుర్పు చాళుక్యుల]]రాజులు సమయంలొ కట్టించారు.ఈ దేవాలయం భారత దేశానికి స్వాతంత్ర్యం రావడానికి మునుపు బాల్యవివాహాలు నిషేధించడానికి పూర్వం , బాల్యవివాహాలకు వేదిక గా ఉండేది.బ్రిటిషు వారి పరిపాలనలొ [[రాజా రామ్మోహన రాయ్]] వంటి సంఘసంస్కర్తల వలన శారదా చట్టం అమలులోకి వచ్చాక బాల్య వివాహాలు నిషేధించబడ్డాయి.
 
యానాం ప్రెంచ్ వారి పరిపాలన జరుపుతున్న సమయంలొ ఈ దేవాలయం బాల్య వివాహాలకు ఎంత ప్రసిద్ధి చెందినదంటే ఇరుగుపొరుగు రాష్ట్రాల వారు ఇక్కడికి వచ్చి బాల్యవివాహాలు జరిపించుకొనేవారు.ఇక్కడి కి మద్రాసు రాష్ట్రం, [[హైదరాబాదు]] నుండి వచ్చి బాల్యవివాహాలు జరిపించుకొనేవారు.వందలకొద్ది వివాహాలు జరగడం వల్ల ఈ ఊరిని కళ్యాణపురి అని పిలిచేవారు.

===మసీదు===
The site for the mosque was donated by the French Government in 1848. At that time a small mosque was constructed. Then in 1956, the same was remodelled. The same was demolished in 1978 and a new mosque was constructed.
 
Now, in 1999-2000 the mosque was extended as the Grand Mosque. At present around 200 persons can pray in the mosque. Every year, [[Ramzan]], [[Eid ul-Adha|Bakrid]], [[Milad un Nabi]] functions will be clebrated grandly. The mosque covers the people of nearby villages like Thallarevu, Kolanka, Sunkarapalem which are in the adjacent State [[Andhra Pradesh]].

The monument of the [[Roman Catholic Church|Catholic]] French rulers is the remembrance of the French Rulers is linked with this church. This church is named as ''St.Ann's Catholic Church''. This church was built under European style. The furniture, decoration articles were imported from France. This church was built in 1846 by the French missionaries. The foundation stone was laid down by Father Michel Lecnam and he died in the year [[April 30]] [[1836]] without completion of the church work. For his remembrance a [[culvert]] was fixed in this church. The church work was completed in the year 1846. There is another special attraction in this church is that a hill temple was built in this premises of the church by the French rulers, and there is another hill temple behind the church which was built by the English engineers.
 
There was an history behind this hill was that in 1943 a ship named Villiam B. Augustus, was thrown to a sand island due to heavy cyclone. Though they tried hard to rescue the ship consisting of 1000 tonnes by using all manpower, it was in vain. The ship stayed for one year in the same place without an inch of movement. At that time, one engineer by name E.H. Swini was deputed from [[America]]{{dn}} for this purpose. He also tried and came to a conclusion that this task would not be possible with manpower. And he worshipped the Lord ''Mary Maa'' (''Mariayamma'' in Telugu) and all of sudden the ship moved from the sand island. In tribute of the Lord Mary, the engineer and his wife constructed this church in Yanam. This history can also be seen now in the hill temple behind this church.<ref>www.yanam.nic.in</ref>
