మీనన్ యొక్క మొదటి కథ "ప్రజామంత్ర" అనే బెంగళూరు పత్రికలో ప్రచురితమైనది. అప్పుడు ఆయన 12వ తరగతి చదువుతున్నాడు.
Menon's first short story was published in "Prajamatha"a Bangalore based magazine while he was studying his 12th Standard.
 
1974నుండి ఆయన లఘు కథలు వివిధ వార, దిన పత్రికాలో ప్రచురితమవుతూనే ఉన్నాయి.
Since 1974 his short stories continues to publish in different Telugu daily and weekly magazines.
 
1977లో మొదటి నవల బకి బతుకులు విశాలాంధ్ర పత్రికలో ప్రచురితమైనది. ఆ నవల మరల 1994లో అదే పబ్లిషర్స్ చే తిరిగి ప్రచురితమైనది.

In 1979 ''Idi Streaking Kadu'' a compilation of Short stories was published. In 1996 ''[https://openlibrary.org/works/OL2315798W/Puliku%CC%84d%CC%A3u Puli Kuudu]'' was published.
