జిల్లాకు వ్యవసాయ ఆదాయం తరువాత ఆదాయం లభిస్తున్న ఇతర రంగాలలో పర్యాటకరంగం ప్రధానమైనది. కేరళరాష్ట్రంలో ఆహ్లాదరమైన హిల్ స్టేషన్లలో వయనాడు ఒకటి. పశ్చిమకనుమల పర్వతశ్రేణి పలు జలాశయాలు మరియు వన్యప్రాణి అభయారణ్యాల ఏర్పాటుకు అనుకూలంగా ఉంది. ఇది ఆకర్షణీయమైన పర్యాటకగమ్యంగా ప్రత్యేకత సంతరించుకుంది.
