ఖతార్: కూర్పుల మధ్య తేడాలు

[[రోమన్ సామ్రాజ్యం|రోమన్]] రచయిత " ప్లినీ ది ఎల్డర్ " క్రీ.పూ 1వ శతాబ్దం మధ్యకాలంలో ఈ ద్వీపకల్పంలో నివాసితుల గురించి మొదటిసారిగా వ్రాతపూర్వకంగా నమోదుచేసాడు. రోమన్ రచయిత ఇక్కడ ప్రజలను కాదరీ అని పేర్కొన్నాడు. ఈ పేరు ప్రాంతీయంగా నివసిస్తున్న ప్రధాన సెటిల్మెంటుకు చెందినదై ఉంటుందని భావిస్తున్నారు.<ref>{{cite book|last1=Casey|first1=Paula|last2=Vine|first2=Peter|title=The heritage of Qatar|publisher=Immel Publishing|year=1992|pages=17}}</ref><ref name="qsahistory">{{cite web|url=http://www.qsa.gov.qa/QatarCensus/History.aspx|title=History of Qatar|publisher=Qatar Statistics Authority|accessdate=11 May 2015}}</ref> ఒక శతాబ్దం తరువాత ప్టోల్మీ మొదటిసారిగా తయారుచేసిన మ్యాప్‌లో ఈ [[ద్వీపకల్పం]] " కతర " పేరుతో చేర్చబడింది.<ref name="qsahistory"/><ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.qnl.qa/collections/aihl/maps|title=Maps|publisher=Qatar National Library|accessdate=11 May 2015}}</ref>
