==చరిత్ర==
ఎం.ర్.ఐను కనుగొన్నది పెలిక్స్ బ్లాక్ (Felix Block) అనే [[శాస్త్రవేత్త]] 1946లొ కనుగొన్నాడు కాని అపట్లో అంతగా అభివృద్ధి కాలెదు. 1952లో పెలిక్స్ బ్లాక్ భౌతిక శాస్త్రము విభాగములో నోబెల్ బహుమతి పొందాడు<ref name="ReferenceA">Bio medical instrumentation by Dr.Arumugam</ref>.పెలిక్స్ బ్లాక్ తరువాత చాలా మంది శాస్త్రవేత్తలు ఎం.ర్.ఐ మీద పరిశోధనలు చేసారు, వారిలో ముఖ్యులు.
