ప్రొస్టేటైటిస్ (Prostatitis) అనగా పౌరుష గ్రంధి వాపు లేదా ఇంఫెక్షన్. ఇందులో నాలుగు వివిధ రూపాలు ఉన్నాయి. స్వల్పకాలిక ప్రోస్టెటైటిక్, బాక్టీరియల్ ప్రోస్టెటైటిస్ (category I and II) రెండు సూక్ష్మజీవనాశకాల వైద్యం ద్వారా నయం చేయవచ్చును. దీర్ఘకాలిక ప్రోస్టేటైటిస్ (category III) వలన కటిప్రాంతంలో నిప్పి చాలాకాలంగా బాధిస్తుంది. ఇది సుమారు 95% కేసులలో కనిపిస్తుంది.<ref>{{cite web
