భారతదేశంలో ప్రాధమిక విధులు (ఆంగ్లం : Fundamental Duties)

1976 భారత రాజ్యాంగ 42వ సవరణ ప్రకారం భారతదేశపు పౌరులకు ప్రాధమిక విధులు ఇవ్వబడినవి. అధికరణ 51-ఏ, ప్రకారం పది ప్రాధమిక విధులు ఇవ్వబడినవి. పౌరులకు ఇవ్వబడిన ఈ పది విధులు, వ్యక్తగత, పరిసరాల పట్ల, సమాజం పట్ల మరియు దేశం పట్ల తమ విద్యుక్త ధర్మాన్ని తెలియజేస్తాయి. 2002 భారత రాజ్యాంగ 86వ సవరణ ప్రకారం 11వ విధి ఇవ్వబడినది. ఈ విధి, "తండ్రి గాని, సంరక్షకుడు గాని, తమ బిడ్డలకు 6-14 వయస్సు వరకు విద్యా బోధన చేపట్టాలి", అని బోధిస్తుంది.

పౌరులందరూ తమకు ఇవ్వబడిన విధులను గౌరవించి, దేశం పట్ల, సమాజం పట్ల, పరిసరాల పట్ల తమ వ్యక్తిగత బాధ్యతను గుర్తించి మసలుకోవలెను. </ref>

51-ఏ ప్రకారం ప్రాధమిక విధులు

భారతదేశంలో ప్రతి పౌరునికి గల ప్రాధమిక విధులు :

1. భారత రాజ్యాంగానికి గౌరవించవలెను. రాజ్యాంగపు ఆదర్శాలను, సభలను, జాతీయ పతాకాన్ని, జాతీయ గీతాన్ని గౌరవించవలెను.

1. to cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national

struggle for freedom;

(c) to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India;

(d) to defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so;

(e) to promote harmony and the sprit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women;

(f) to value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture;

(g) to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wild life, and to have compassion for living creatures;

(h) to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the sprit of inquiry and reform;

(i) to safeguard public property and to abjure violence;

(j) to strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavour and achievement.".
