2008, సెప్టెంబరు 24న ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర శాసనసభ చేత అమలు చేయబడి, 2008 ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ గెజిట్‌లో 29వ చట్టం అనుసరించి 2008లో రాయలసీమ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ఏర్పాటయింది. ఉన్నత విద్యలోని సమగ్రతను ప్రోత్సహించడానికి [[ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం]] ఈ రాయలసీమ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం స్థాపించింది.
