పశ్చిమ ఆఫ్రికాలో కిఫ్ఫా పూసలు, గాజు పొడి పూసలు లాంటివి సాంప్రదాయకమైనవి. టిబెటన్లు కంచూ పూసలు ఉపయోగిస్తారు. భారతదేశంలోని [[రుద్రాక్ష]] పుసలు (Rudraksha beads) కూడా ఒక ఉదాహరణ. వీటిని బౌద్ధులు మరియు హిందువులు [[జపమాల]]గా ఉపయోగిస్తారు.
