ఈయన రచించిన Dravidian Languages (2003) ద్రావిడ భాషా శాస్త్రజ్ఞుల పాలిటి ప్రమాణ గ్రంథం. 'Comparative Dravidian linguistics: Current perspectives' అన్న పుస్తకం ఈయన 1955 నుంచి 1998 వరకూ ప్రచురించిన వ్యాసాల్లో ముఖ్యమైన 21 వ్యాసాల సంకలనం. కృష్ణమూర్తిగారి సిద్ధాంత గ్రంథం "Telugu Verbal Bases" (1961) ద్రావిడ భాషాధ్యయన రంగంలో ఒక మైలురాయిగా పండితులు భావిస్తారు. 'Konda or Kubi: A dravidian language' (1969), జె.పి.ఎల్. గ్విన్ తో కలసి రాసిన 'A Grammar of Modern Telugu', డి. కోస్టిస్, ఏ మిట్టర్ తో కలిసి రాసిన 'A short outline of Telugu Phonetics' (1977), 'Papers on Socio-linguistics' (1998), తెలుగు వ్యాసాల సంకలనం "భాష, సమాజం, సంస్కృతి" కృష్ణమూర్తి గారి ముఖ్య గ్రంథాలు. ఇవిగాక అనేక ఆంగ్ల గ్రంథాలకు సంపాదకత్వం, సహ సంపాదకత్వం వహించారు.
