చతుష్పాదులు లేదా నాలుగుకాళ్ల జంతువులలో కాలు అనగా మొత్తం తొడ నుండి పాదం వరకు కాలు భాగమంతాగా పరిగణిస్తారు. అయితే వైద్యశాస్త్రంలోని శరీర నిర్మాణశాస్త్రం ప్రకారం మోకాలు క్రింది భాగాన్ని మాత్రమే కాలుగా పేర్కొంటారు.
