తన వీపు భాగానికి క్యాన్సర్ రావడం వలన హైదర్ 6 డిసెంబర్ 1782న తన శిబిరంలో మరణించారు, అయితే పర్షియన్ భాషలో కొన్ని చారిత్రక ఆధారాల ఆధారంగా ఇస్లామీయ కేలండర్ లో హిజ్రీ 1 మొహర్రం 1197 నుండి హిజ్రీ 4 మొహర్రం 1197 వరకు తేదీలు మధ్య ఆయన మరణం సంభవించింది అని తెలుస్తుంది. ఈ తేదీలులో తేడాలకు కారణం [[చాంద్రమాన క్యాలెండర్]] మరియు పరిసర రాజ్యాలలో చంద్రుడు వీక్షణలలో తేడాలు వల్ల కావచ్చు.
