హేలీ తర్వాత ఈ తోకచుక్క చరిత్ర తవ్వి తీయగా వరుసగా 76 సంవత్సరాల కొకసారి దాన్ని ఎవరో ఒకరు చూస్తూనే వున్నరని తెలిసింది. మానవులు [[చైనా]] లో మొదటిసారిగా దాన్ని క్రీస్తుపూర్వం 249 లో చూసినట్టుగా నిర్ధారణ అయింది. [[1066]] లో ఇంగ్లండును నార్మన్ లు జయించినప్పుడు కూడా అదే తోకచుక్క కనబడినట్టు చరిత్రలో ఉన్నది.
