ఖిమత్ రాయ్ గుప్త
ఖిమత్ రాయ్ గుప్త(క్యూ.ఆర్.గుప్త, క్యూ.ఆర్.జి అని కూడా అంటారు ఆయనను.)[1] ప్రముఖ భారత వ్యాపారవేత్త, హావెల్స్ సంస్థ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు, మాజీ ఛైర్మన్. ఈయన స్థాపించిన హేవెల్స్ సంస్థ ప్రస్తుతం ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రముఖ ఎలక్ట్రికల్ వస్తువుల తయారీ సంస్థగా గుర్తింపు పొందింది. ఖిమత్ భారత 100మంది ధనికుల్లో ఒకరు.[2] ఫోర్బ్స్ ప్రచురించిన ప్రపంచ బిలీనియర్లలో కూడా ఖిమత్ స్థానం సంపాదించారు.[3]
తొలినాళ్ళ జీవితం మార్చు
ఖిమత్ 1937లో అవిభిజిత పంజాబ్ లో జన్మించారు.[4] 1958లో పంజాబ్ లో చదువును మధ్యలో వదిలిపెట్టి ఢిల్లీ వెళ్ళిపోయారు ఆయన. 10000 రూపాయల పెట్టుబడితో ఢిల్లీ లోని భగీరథ్ ప్లేస్ లో ఎలక్ట్రికల్ హోల్ సేల్ మార్కెట్ లో గుప్తజీ & కంపెనీ పేరుతో ఒక ఎలక్ట్రికల్ షాపు పెట్టుకున్నారు ఖిమత్.[5][6]
హేవెల్స్ మార్చు
1971లో, ఖిమత్ 7 లక్షలకు హేవెల్స్ బ్రాండ్ ను హవేలీ రామ్ గాంధీ నుండి కొన్నారు.[7][8] ప్రస్తుతం హేవెల్స్ 3 బిలియన్ డాలర్ల మార్కెట్ విలువతో ప్రప్రంచ 5వ అత్యున్నత ఎలక్ట్రికల్ బ్రాండ్ గా నిలిచింది.[9][10]

ఖిమత్ భార్య వినోద్. వీరికి ఇద్దరు కొడుకులు, ఒక కుమార్తె. వీరి రెండవ కుమారుడు అనిల్ రాయ్ గుప్త ప్రస్తుతం హేవెల్స్ సంస్థకు ఛైర్మన్ గానూ, ఎండిగానూ వ్యవహరిస్తున్నారు.[12]
7 నవంబరు 2014లో గుండె పోటుతో 77వ ఏటన మరణించారు ఖిమత్.[13][14]
