శకుని పాచికల ఆట లేదా చౌసర్ అని పిలిచే ఆటలో నిపుణుడు. శకుని ఒక పాచిక ఆటను ఏర్పాటు చేశాడు. అందులో యుధిష్ఠిరుని రాజ్యాన్ని, అతని సోదరులు-భీముడు, అర్జునుడు, నకుల, సహదేవులు, యుధిష్ఠిర కూడా గెలిచారు. తరువాత ద్రౌపదిని కూడా గెలిపించాడు. దుర్యోధనుని ఆజ్ఞలపై దుశ్శాసనుడు ద్రౌపదిని బట్టలు విప్పడానికి ప్రయత్నించాడు కానీ కృష్ణుడు ఆమెను రక్షించాడు. ఈ ఆట యుద్ధానికి దారితీసింది
