కరపత్రంను ఇంగ్లీషులో flyer, Flyer (pamphlet), flier, circular, handbill or leaflet అని అంటారు.
తెలియపరచాలని భావించిన ప్రకటనను ఒక కాగితంపై ముద్రించి దానిని ఉత్తరం ఇచ్చునట్లుగా ప్రతి ఇంటికి పంచిపెట్టడం లేదా బహిరంగ ప్రదేశాలలో పంపిణీ చేయటం చేస్తుంటారు. ఈ విధంగా పంచే కాగితములను కరపత్రములు అంటారు.
