మంద

మంద [ manda ] manda. తెలుగు. n. A flock or herd of cattle. పశువుల సమూహము. A place where the flocks or herds are kept outside a village, ఊరికి బయట పశువులుండు చోటు. A hamlet, inhabited by herdsmen, గొల్లపల్లె. కుక్కల మంద a pack of dogs. మందకట్టు or మంద కట్టుబాటు the bye-laws of shepherds. గొల్లలు ఏర్పరచుకొన్న ఏర్పాటు. ఆ చేలకు మందకట్టిరి they manured the field by penning sheep or goats on it. మందగొను manda-gonu. v. n. To come together in a crowd, మందగాకూడు. మందపిచ్చిక manda-pichchika. n. The name of a little white breasted bird with a black-head. శిరమంద పిచ్చిక a species with a yellow breast. మందప్రోయాలు manda-prōyālu. n. A shepherdness; గొల్లది.
