- Use this Rcat for any redirect that is the common name for the scientific name that is targeted. Place this Rcat on a redirect in the following manner:

- This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.
- Template {{This is a redirect}} may also be used to add this and other appropriate Rcats to a redirect.
- Both {{Redirect to scientific name}} and {{R from common name}} redirect here and may also be used.
- This Rcat automatically populates the Redirects to scientific names category.
