This is a maintenance category to track non-free files uploaded with the WP:File Upload Wizard that are claimed to be used as "object of commentary in an article". The non-free use justifications of these files may be in need of review.

Files that are not being used in accordance with this claimed purpose (e.g. photographs used merely as illustrations of the article topic but not as topics of discussion in their own right) may be speedily deleted under WP:CSD#F7a ("clearly invalid fair-use tag") in blatant and obviously unsalvagable cases (e.g. portrait photographs of living individuals), or they may be tagged as {{Di-disputed fair use rationale}} ({{subst:dfu}}) or {{Di-replaceable fair use}} ({{subst:rfud}}).

Files whose non-free use rationale has been verified by an experienced user may be removed from this category.
