This category contains icons originally created for flying junctions (in German: Überwerfungsbauwerk), but can also be used for broad-radius curves and other configurations. All these icons connect at a corner with the line running at a 45° angle.
Note: As the ÜW root was somewhat limiting, these curve icons now use the STR root and all follow the new naming rule-set (with redirects for icons named previously):
If the track comes from the top and moves on to the bottom, no additional suffix is required.
STR
If the track comes from the top and moves to a position on the side, a single suffix to determine the direction is added.

If the track comes from a position on the side and moves to the bottom:
a "+" is added to indicate "coming from";
a single suffix is added to indicate the origin.

a single suffix to indicate the "to" direction (this suffix must be the one closest to the bottom);
a "+" to indicate "coming from";

Note that the + is omitted if the track starts and ends at the same "level" (i.e. top or bottom).
For the special case of the line running across from right-to-left or vice-versa, the single suffix "q" is added only if the base icon can be rotated in either direction to produce the transverse version.
There are two versions of 45° interruption (LUECKE) curves:
The LSTR group have a straight line at the corner, and are designed to connect with a solid line;
The LLSTR group have a ¼ disk at the corner, and are designed to connect with another interruption.
In the examples to the right the green illustrates the correct configuration, and the red the incorrect. (In both cases the corner (ÜWc) icons are displayed in blue for visibility.)
