- Wikipedia has an interesting relationship with experts. We like them, especially when their work is reviewed and published. But we actually don't use "Original Research", like a novel theory or study that has not been vetted and evaluated by a third party. Wikipedia is far down the chain from the production of new knowledge. We just summarize it, we don't create it, and we don't report it until it's been published elsewhere first.
