హిలాల్ అక్బర్ లోన్ జమ్మూ కాశ్మీర్ రాష్ట్రానికి చెందిన రాజకీయ నాయకుడు. ఆయన 2024లో జరిగిన జమ్మూ కాశ్మీర్ శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో సోనావారి నియోజకవర్గం నుండి శాసనసభ సభ్యుడిగా ఎన్నికయ్యాడు.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

మార్చుఉత్తర కాశ్మీర్‌లో2023లో జరిగిన డిస్ట్రిక్ట్ డెవలప్‌మెంట్ కౌన్సిల్ (డిడిసి) ఎన్నికల సందర్భంగా జరిగిన ర్యాలీలో 'ద్వేషపూరిత ప్రసంగం' చేసినందుకుగాను ఫిబ్రవరి 16, 2021న చట్టవిరుద్ధ కార్యకలాపాల (నివారణ) చట్టం (యుఎపిఎ) కింద కేసు బుక్ చేయబడింది. ఎన్నికల ఫలితాలు ప్రకటించిన కొన్ని రోజుల తర్వాత అతన్ని డిసెంబర్ 25న బందిపోరాలోని ఉత్తర కాశ్మీర్ జిల్లాలోని సుంబల్ ప్రాంతంలో అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు.[7]
