ఇరిడేసి

ఇరిడేసి (లాటిన్ : Iridaceae) పుష్పించే మొక్కలలోని ఏకదళబీజాలుకు చెందిన ఒక కుటుంబం. దీని పేరు ఐరిస్ (Iris) ప్రజాతికి చెందిన మొక్కలనుండి వచ్చింది. ఇవి ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా విస్తరించాయి. దీనిలో సుమారు 2000 జాతులు ఉన్నాయి. క్రోకస్ (Crocus), ఐరిస్ ప్రజాతులు యూరేసియా పూలలో ప్రముఖస్థానాన్ని ఆక్రమించాయి.
