పాలిండ్రోం

పాలిండ్రోం అనగా ఒక పదాన్ని లేదా ఒక వాక్యాన్ని కుడి నుండి ఎడమకు చదివినా లేదా ఎడమ నుండి కుడికి చదివినా ఒకే విధంగా ఉండడం.. ఉదాహరణకు కిటికి, వికటకవి, నవీన మొదలగునవి. పాలిండ్రోమును తెలుగులో చిత్రకావ్యం, చిత్రపదం, చిత్రవాక్యం అని కూడా అంటారు.

పాలిండ్రోం పద ఉద్భవం

పాలిండ్రోమ్ అనే పదాన్ని ఆంగ్ల కవి, రచయిత హెన్రీ పీచమ్ 1638లో పరిచయం చేశారు. ఈ పదం గ్రీకు మూలాల నుండి ఉద్భవించింది.
