వీరు అనేక ప్రత్యక్ష సామాజిక సేవా కార్యక్రమాలలో పాల్గొని సేవ లందించారు. కళ్ళ పరీక్షలు, పోలియో నివారణ, వరదబాదితుల పునరావాసము వంటి అనేక సేవా కార్య క్రమాలలో స్వయంగా పాల్గొని ప్రజాసేవ చేశారు. వీరు రీ పెంద్యాల వెంకట కృష్ణ రంగరాయ స్మారక సమితి లోసభ్యులుగా వుండి 1983 లో తణుకులో వచ్చిన వరదల బాధితుల పునరావాస కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొని విశిష్ట సేవ నందించారు.

బుల్లి రామయ్య గారు విదేశాలలో వుస్త్రుతంగా పర్యటించారు. అంతర్జాతీయ షుగ్ర్ టెక్నాలజీ (xvi and xvii) సొసైటి, పిట్స్ బర్గ్, అమెరికా లో జరిగిన సమావేశాలలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
