మార్టిన్ లూథర్
మార్టిన్ లూథర్ (ఆంగ్లం : Martin Luther) (1483 నవంబరు 10 - 1546 ఫిబ్రవరి 18) జెర్మనీకి చెందిన ఒక సన్యాసి,[1] మత ధార్మిక వేత్త, విశ్వవిద్యాలయపు ప్రొఫెసర్, ప్రొటెస్టెంటిజంకు చెందిన ఒక ఫాదర్,[2][3][4][5], చర్చి సంస్కర్త, ఇతడి ఆలోచనలు ప్రొటెస్టంటు సంస్కరణలకు దారితీసి, పశ్చిమ నాగరికతను మార్చివేసాయి.[6]

లూథర్ యొక్క ధర్మ శాస్త్రము పోప్ యొక్క ఆధిక్యతను ప్రశ్నించింది, లూథర్ ప్రకారం క్రైస్తవ ధర్మశాస్త్రము బైబిల్ ఆధారంగా మాత్రం పొందగలమని, చర్చీలు, పోపు ద్వారా కాదని ప్రకటించాడు.[7] క్రీస్తుద్వారా బాప్తిజం పొందినవారు మాత్రమే విశ్వవ్యాపిత విశ్వాసులు అని చాటాడు.[8] లూథర్ ప్రకారం, మోక్షము అనునది దైవ ప్రసాదము, దీనిని సత్యవంత 'పశ్చాత్తాపం', యేసు పట్ల విశ్వాసము ఉంచేవారే పొందగలరు. యేసును చేరే మార్గము చర్చిద్వారా మాత్రం కాదు అని చాటిచెప్పాడు.
