- DOB: 15th May 1939, at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh
- Parents: Late Sri Dasu Madhusudhana Rao, a distinguished lawyer and Late Smt. Dasu Savithri,
- Descendent (Grandson) of Mahakavi Dasu Sriramulu garu.
- Secretary of Mahakavi Dasu Sriramulu Smaraka Samiti, Hyderabad.
Qualifications:
- MSc (Geophysics), Ph D (Geophysics) and
- Post Doctoral Fellow under a Commonwealth Colombo Plan Fellowship at the University of Adelaide, South Australia
- The Honorary Secretary of the Indian Geophysical Union for the years 1983 – 93
- Fellow of the Geological Society of India and Association of Exploration Geophysicists (AEG) India
Worked at:
- The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bombay
- The CSIR National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad
- Retired in 1999, as a Senior Scientist & Deputy Director from NGRI, Hyderabad.
Other Interests and Activities:
- The popularization of science subjects and especially on Earth Sciences. Delivered talks in Telugu and English regularly through All India Radio, Hyderabad and in English as Countrywide Class Room programs of the University Grants Commission (UGC) on Doordarshan (TV) national network.
- Several articles were published in reputed journals Telugu & English on science subjects, literary and cultural topics.
- As the Secretary of Mahakavi Dasu Sriramulu Smaraka Samiti, Hyderabad, and also personally published and republished the works of my grandfather Mahakavi Dasu Sriramulu garu and aunt Vemuri (Dasu) Saradamba garu.
