నడవడం
నడవడం (Walking; also known as Ambulation) కాళ్ళున్న జంతువులలోని ఒక విధమైన కదిలే ప్రక్రియ. ఇది పరుగెత్తడం (Running) కన్నా నెమ్మదిగా జరుగుతుంది. ఎన్ని కాళ్లున్నా కూడా ఈ కదలికను "తిరగబడిన లోలకపు చలనం" (Inverted Pendulum movement) అంటారు. సామాన్యంగా మనిషి 5 కిలోమీటర్లు లేదా 3.1 మైల్లు వేగంతో నడుస్తాడు.

నడవడాన్ని పరుగెత్తడం నుండి ఎలా గుర్తిస్తారు. నడిచేటప్పుడు రెండు కాళ్ళలో ఒకటి భూమి మీద ఉంటుంది. అదే పరుగెత్తేటప్పుడు కొంత సమయం రెండు కాళ్ళూ గాలిలో ఉంటాయి. ఇది నడక పోటీలలో చాలా ప్రాధాన్యత కలిగివుంటుంది.
రకాలు
మార్చు- చేతుల మీద నడవడం : పాదాల మీద కాకుండా చేతులను ఉపయోగించి తలక్రింద కాళ్ళు పైన ఉంచి నడవడం.
- చేతికర్ర సహాయంతో నడవడం : కాళ్ళలో శక్తి తగ్గిన వృద్ధాప్యంలో చేతికర్రను పట్టుకొని నడవడం మంచిది.
- నాలుగు కాళ్ళమీద నడవడం : కొండలు మొదలైన ఎత్తైన ప్రదేశాలు ఎక్కడానికి ఇలా నడిస్తే బలం ఉంటుంది.
వ్యాయామం
మార్చునడవడం ఒక మంచి వ్యాయామం. ఈ రోజుల్లో, బిజీ పని కారణంగా, ప్రజలకు నడవడానికి తక్కువ సమయం ఉంది. బదులుగా, వారు రోజువారీ వ్యాయామం కోసం ట్రెడ్మిల్ను ఉపయోగిస్తారు. మంచి ఫలితాల కోసం ప్రతిరోజు కనీసం 30-60 నిమిషాలపాటు వారంలో 5 రోజులు నడవాలి.[1][2] ఇందువలన చాలా ఆరోగ్యకరమైన ఉపయోగాలున్నాయి.[3] కాన్సర్, మధుమేహం, గుండె జబ్బులు, మానసిక ఒత్తిడి, డిప్రెషన్ వంటివి రాకుండా నివారిస్తుంది.[4] స్థూలకాయం, అధిక రక్తపోటు ఉన్నవారిలో ఇది మనిషి జీవిత కాలాన్ని పెంచుతుంది. నడవడం వలన ఎముకలు బలంగా తయారౌతాయి, ప్రమాదమైన కొవ్వు పదార్ధాలు తగ్గుతాయి.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]
నడవడం వలన మతిమరుపు రాకుండా నివారించగలమని పరిశోధనలు తెలియజేశాయి,ఆరోగ్యకరమైన శరీరానికి, వ్యాధితో పోరాడటానికి సహాయపడుతుంది.[13]
