[[పేదరికం]] (Poverty) ఒక సామాజిక, ఆర్థిక [[సమస్య]]. ఇది దీర్ఘకాలిక సామాజిక సమస్యగా ఉంది. సమాజంలో ఒక వర్గం కనీస అవసరాలైన [[ఆహారం]], గృహవసతి, [[దుస్తులు]] పొందలేని పరిస్థితిని పేదరికం అంటారు. పేదరికంతో బాధపడుతున్న వారిని [[పేదలు]] అంటారు.
