ఇస్రో అభివృద్ధి చేసిన ద్రవ ఇంధన రాకెట్ ఇంజను

వికాస్, భారతీయ అంతరిక్ష పరిశోధన సంస్థ తయారు చేసిన ద్రవ ఇంధన రాకెట్ ఇంజను.[7] 1970 ల్లో దీన్ని  లిక్విడ్ ప్రొపల్షన్ సిస్టమ్స్ సెంటర్ సంస్థలో అభివృద్ధి చేసారు.[8] దీన్ని పిఎస్‌ఎల్‌వి లోను, జిఎస్‌ఎల్‌వి లోనూ  ఉపయోగిస్తున్నారు.

వికాస్ ఇంజనులో జింబాలింగ్ సామర్థ్యం ఉంది. ఎల్‌విఎమ్3 (జిఎస్‌ఎల్‌వి మార్క్ 3) యొక్క L110 కోర్ దశలో రెండు వికాస్ ఇంజన్లను వాడుతుంది. 

సాంకేతిక వివరాలు మార్చు

వికాస్ ఇంజను UDMH ఇంధనంగాను, ఆక్సీకరణిగా డై నైట్రోజెన్ టెట్రాక్సైడ్‌ను వాడి 725 కిలోన్యూటన్ల థ్రస్టును ఉత్పత్తి చేస్తుంది. దీని ఛాంబరు ప్రెజరు  52.5 బార్. దీన్ని 58.5 బార్ ప్రెజరుకు పెంచి 800 కిలో న్యూటన్ల థ్రస్టు ఉత్పత్తి చేసేలా మెరుగు పరచారు.

వికాస్ ఇంజను ఫ్రాన్సుకు చెందిన వైకింగ్ 4A ఇంజను సాంకేతికత నుండి లబ్ధి పొందింది.[9][10][11] వికాస్ ఇంజనుకు  దాని కన్నా ఎక్కువసేపు మండే  సామర్థ్యం ఉంది.
