1952 పంజాబ్ శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలు
మొదటి పంజాబ్ శాసనసభకు సభ్యులను ఎన్నుకునేందుకు 1952 మార్చి 26 న పంజాబ్ రాష్ట్రంలో ఎన్నికలు జరిగాయి. రాష్ట్రం లోని 105 నియోజకవర్గాలలోని 126 స్థానాలకు 842 మంది అభ్యర్థులు పోటీ చేశారు. వీటిలో 21 ద్విసభ్య నియోజకవర్గాలు, 84 ఏకసభ్య నియోజకవర్గాలు ఉన్నాయి.

రాష్ట్ర పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణ మార్చు
రాష్ట్రాల పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణ చట్టం, 1956 ప్రకారం, పాటియాలా & ఈస్ట్ పంజాబ్ స్టేట్స్ యూనియన్ ను 1956 నవంబరు 1 న పంజాబ్‌లో విలీనం చేసారు.[2] ఆ విధంగా 1952 లో 105 నియోజకవర్గాలు, 126 సీట్లు ఉండగా, 1957 ఎన్నికల్లో 121 నియోజకవర్గాలు 154 సీట్లకు చేరింది.
