కె-4 క్షిపణి
కె-4 అణ్వాయుధ యుత, మధ్యంతర పరిధి, జలాంతర్గామి ప్రయోగిత, బాలిస్టిక్ క్షిపణి. భారత రక్షణ పరిశోధన అభివృద్ధి సంస్థ ఈ క్షిపణిని అరిహంత్ తరగతి జలాంతర్గాముల కోసం అభివృద్ధి చేస్తోంది.[1] ఈ క్షిపణికి 3500 కిమీ పరిధి ఉన్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.[2]
అభివృద్ధి మార్చు
INS అరిహంత్ లో అమర్చేందుకు అగ్ని-3 క్షిపణి పొడవును తగ్గించడానికి అనేక సమస్యలు ఎదుర్కొన్నాక, కె-4 అభివృద్ధిని చేపట్టారు. కె-4 పరిధి అగ్ని-3 పరిధికి సుమారుగా సమానం. పొడవు మాత్రం 12 మీటర్లు మాత్రమే ఉంటుంది (అగ్ని-3 పొడవు 17 మీటర్లు). కె-4 కోసం డిజైను చేసిన గ్యాస్ బూస్టర్‌ను 2010 లో సముద్ర గర్భంలో ఒక పాన్‌టూన్ నుండి విజయవంతంగా పరీక్షించారు.[3]

ఈ క్షిపణి పొడవు 12 మీ. వ్యాసం 1.3 మీ. బరువు 17 టన్నులు. 2 టన్నుల వార్‌హెడ్‌ను మోసుకు పోగలదు. ఉన్నతమైన కచ్చితత్వాన్ని సాధించడమే ఈ క్షిపణి లక్ష్యమని DRDO వెల్లడించింది.
పరీక్ష మార్చు
2013 సెప్టెంబరులో ఈ క్షిపణిని సముద్రంలో 50 అడుగుల లోతున ఒక పాన్‌టూన్ పై నుండి పరీక్షించాల్సి ఉంది. కానీ అది పైకి చెప్పని కారణాల వలన ఆలస్యమైంది.[4][5] ఈ కారణాన మొదటి పరీక్ష 2014 మార్చి 24 న విశాఖపట్నం తీరాన 30 మీ లోతున పాన్‌టూన్ పై నుండి పరీక్షించారు. ఆ పరీక్షలో క్షిపణిని 3,000 కిమీ పరిధికి విజయవంతంగా పరీక్షించారు. గ్యా జనరేటరు క్షిపణిని పాన్‌టూన్ పై నుండినీటిపైకి తోసింది. గాల్లోకి లేచిన కె-4 క్షిపణి లక్ష్యం వైపు తిరిగి 3,000 కిమీ దూరం వెళ్ళి, హిందూ మహా సముద్రంలో పడిపోయింది.[6]
2014 మే నాటికి, క్షిపణిని పాన్‌టూన్ లపైనా, జలాంతర్గాముల పైనా పరీక్షించడానికి ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధమయ్యాయి.[7][8][9][10][dated info]
2016 మార్చి 7 న [11] కె-4 బంగాళాఖాతంలో సముద్ర గర్భంలో ఒక ప్లాట్‌ఫారంపై నుండి ప్రయోగించారు, అది ఘన విజయం సాధించిందని DRDO వర్గాలు చెప్పాయి,[12] అయితే, ఈ పరీక్ష గురించి DRDO నుండి గాని, భారత ప్రభుత్వం నుండి గానీ అధికారిక ధ్రువీకరణ లేదు.[13]
2016 మార్చి 31 న క్షిపణిని విశాఖపట్నం నుండి 45 నాటికల్ మైల్స్ దూరాన, INS అరిహంత్ నుండి విజయవంతంగా పరీక్షించినట్లు ఏప్రిల్ లో ప్రకటించారు. క్షిపణిని 20 మీ లోతు నుండి ప్రయోగించగా, 700 కిమీ దూరంలోని లక్ష్యాన్ని చాలా కచ్చితత్వంతో, సున్నా వర్తుల దోష పరిధితో ఛేదించింది.[11][14][15][16][17]
