అరిహంత్ తరగతి జలాంతర్గామి

అరిహంత్ ఒక అణు చోదిత బాలిస్టిక్ క్షిపణి జలాంతర్గాముల తరగతి. అడ్వాన్స్‌డ్ టెక్నాలజీ వెహికిల్ ప్రాజెక్టు కింద భారత్ ఈ జలాంతర్గాములను  తయారుచేస్తోంది. ఈ తరగతి లోని ముఖ్య జలాంతర్గామి INS అరిహంత్ ప్రారంభం 2009 లో జరిగింది. విస్తృత సముద్ర పరీక్షల తరువాత, 2016 ఫిబ్రవరి 23 న ఇది ఆపరేషన్‌లకు సిద్ధంగా ఉందని నిర్ధారించారు .[6][7] ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి భద్రతా మండలి శాశ్వత సభ్యులు ఐదుగురు కాకుండా, ఇతర దేశాలు తయారుచేసిన మొట్టమొదటి బాలిస్టిక్ క్షిపణి జలాంతర్గామి అరిహంత్.[8]

చరిత్ర మార్చు

1971 డిసెంబరులో, భారత్ పాకిస్తాన్ యుద్ధం సందర్భంగా అమెరికా, టాస్క్ ఫోర్స్ 74 అనే తన బలగాలను USS ఎంటర్‌ప్రైస్ నాయకత్వంలో బంగాళాఖాతంలో మోహరించింది. భారత్‌ను హెచ్చరించేందుకు అమెరికా ఈ పనిచేసింది.[9][10] దీనికి ప్రతిగా సోవియట్ యూనియన్ అణ్వాయుధాలతో కూడిన తన జలాంతర్గామిని అమెరికా టాస్క్ ఫోర్స్ వెనుకనే పంపించింది.[11] అణ్వాయుధాలు, బాలిస్టిక్ క్షిపణి జలాంతర్గాముల ప్రాముఖ్యత ఎంతటిదో ఈ సంఘటనతో నాటి ప్రధాని ఇందిరా గాంధీకి తెలియవచ్చింది.[12] 1974 నాటి స్మైలింగ్ బుద్ధ అణు పరీక్ష తరువాత, డైరెక్టర్ ఆఫ్ మెరీన్ ఇంజనీరింగ్ (DME) దేశీయ అణు చోదిత వ్యవస్థను నిర్మించడమై, సాధ్యాసాధ్యాల పరిశీలనను చేపట్టారు. (Project 932).[13] అణు జలాంతర్గామికి రూపకల్పన చేసి నిర్మించే, అడ్వాన్స్‌డ్ టెక్నాలజీ వెస్సెల్ ప్రాజెక్టు 1990 ల్లో రూపుదిద్దుకుంది.[14] 1998 లో నాటి రక్షణ మంత్రి జార్జి ఫెర్నాండెజ్ ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు ఉనికిని ధ్రువీకరించాడు.[15] ప్రాజెక్టు యొక్క తొలి ఉద్దేశం, వేగంగా దాడి చేసే అణు చోదిత జలాంతర్గామిని నిర్మించడం. అయితే 1998 అణు పరీక్షల తరువాత, భారత్ మొదటి-దాడి-చెయ్యను  విధానాన్ని ప్రకటించిన నేపథ్యంలో ప్రాజెక్టు లక్ష్యాలను మార్చి, బాలిస్టిక్  క్షిపణి జలాంతర్గామిని నిర్మించాలని నిశ్చయించారు. ఇది భారత్ యొక్క అణుత్రయంలో ఒక భాగం.[16][17][18]

వివరణ మార్చు

అరిహంత్ తరగతి జలాంతర్గాములు అణు చోదిత బాలిస్టిక్ క్షిపణి జలాంతర్గాములు. దీని నిర్మాణాన్ని అడ్వాన్స్‌డ్ టెక్నాలజీ వెస్సెల్ (ATV) ప్రాజెక్టులో భాగంగా చేపట్టారు.[19][20][21][22][23][24] ఇవి భారత్ నిర్మించిన మొదటి అణు చోదిత జలాంతర్గాములౌతాయి[25] ఈ జలాంతర్గాములు 112 మీ పొడవు, 11 మీ బీమ్‌తో, 10 మీ డ్రాట్‌తో, 6000 టన్నుల బరువు కలిగి ఉంటాయి.  ఇవి  సముద్రంలో 300 మీ లోతు వరకు వెళ్తాయి. 95 మంది సిబ్బంది ఉంటారు.[26] ఈ జలాంతర్గాములు 83 మెగావాట్ల ప్రెజర్ వాటర్ రియాక్టరుతో నడుస్తాయి. ఇది నీటిపైన 12-15 నాట్ల వేగంతోను, నీటి లోపల 24 నాట్ల వేగంతోనూ ప్రయాణిస్తుంది.[26]

ఈ జలాంతర్గాములకు నాలుగు క్షిపణి ప్రయోగ ట్యూబులు ఉన్నాయి. దీనిలో 12 సాగరిక క్షిపణులను గానీ (750 కిమీ పరిధి) లేదా 4 K-4 క్షిపణులను గానీ (3,500 కిమీ పరిధి) మోహరించవచ్చు.[27][28] ఈ జలాంతర్గాములు రష్యా యొక్క అకులా తరగతి  జలాంతర్గాముల కోవకు చెందినవి.[26] భారత నావికా దళం తన సైనికులకు అకులా తరగతికి చెందిన INS  చక్రలో శిక్షణ ఇస్తుంది..[29][30]

అభివృద్ధి మార్చు

ఈ జలాంతర్గాములకు శక్తి, ప్రెషరైస్‌డ్ వాటర్ రియాక్టరు నుండి లభిస్తుంది. ఈ రియాక్టరు హైలీ ఎన్‌రిచ్‌డ్ యురేనియాన్ని ఇంధనంగా వాడుతుంది.[31][32]  ఈ రియాక్టరును  భాభా  అటామిక్ రీసెర్చి సెంటర్ (BARC) రూపకల్పన చేసి, నిర్మించింది. దీన్ని ఇందిరాగాంధి అణు పరిశోధన కేంద్రం, కల్పాక్కం లో నిర్మించారు.[33] ఇందులో రియాక్టరు, నీటి ట్యాంకు,  కంట్రోల్ రూము, ఆక్జిలరీ కంట్రోల్ రూము ఉన్నాయి.[34] ప్రోటోటైప్ రియాక్టరు 2003 నవంబరు 11 న క్రిటికల్ స్థితికి చేరింది. 2006 సెప్టెంబరు 22 న అది ఆపరేషన్‌కు సిద్ధమైందని  ప్రకటించారు.[12] మూడేళ్ళ పాటు ఈ ప్రోటోటైప్‌ను విజయవంతంగా పని చేయించాక, అరిహంత్ కోసం రియాక్టరును తయారు చేసారు.[35][36] రియాక్టరు ఉప వ్యవస్థలను విశాఖపట్నం లోని యంత్ర పరీక్షా కేంద్రంలో పరీక్షించారు.[37] జలాంతర్గాములలో ఇంధనాన్ని ఎక్కించడానికి, పాత ఇంధనాన్ని తీసేసేందుకు అవసరమైన  సౌకర్యాలను కూడా ఏర్పాటు చేసారు.[12]

జలాంతర్గామి డిజైను యొక్క సవివరమైన ఇంజనీరింగ్ ను ఎల్ & టి వారి హజీరా నౌకా నిర్మాణ కేంద్రంలో చేసారు.[38] జలాంతర్గామి నియంత్రణ వ్యవస్థలను  టాటా పవర్ నిర్మించింది.[39]  స్టీమ్ టర్బైన్లు, దానికి సంబంధించిన వ్యవస్థలను వాల్‌చంద్‌నగర్ ఇండస్ట్రీస్ సరఫరా చేసింది.[40] 2009 జూలైలో ప్రారంభించాక,  మొదటి నౌక, అరిహంత్ అనేకానేక పరీక్షలకు లోనైంది.[41] ప్రొపల్షన్, పవర్ వ్యవస్థలను హై ప్రెషర్ స్టీమ్‌తో పరీక్షించారు. అనేక హార్బరు పరీక్షలు కూడా జరిపారు.[42] INS అరిహంత్ యొక్క రియాక్టరు 2013 ఆగస్టు 10 న క్రిటికల్ స్థితికి చేరింది.[43][44][45]

ఈ తరగతిలో ఎన్ని జలాంతర్గాములను నిర్మిస్తారనేది ఇదమిత్థంగా తెలీదు. మీడియా రిపోర్టుల ప్రకారం 3 నుండి 6 వరకూ నిర్మిస్తారని తెలుస్తోంది.[46][47][48][49][50][51][52] ఈ తరగతిలోని మొదటి జలాంతర్గామి INS అరిహంత్ 2016 లో కమిషన్ అయ్యే అవకాశాలున్నాయి.[53] 2023 నాటికి మొదటి నాలుగు జలాంతర్గాములు కమిషన్ అవుతాయి.[4] 2014 డిసెంబరు నాటికి రెండవ అణు రియాక్టరు పని మొదలైంది. రెండవ జలాంతర్గామి, INS అరిదమన్ సముద్ర పరీక్షలకు సిద్ధం అవుతోంది.[54] అరిహంత్ తరువాత తయారయ్యే మూడు నౌకలు అరిహంత్  కంటే పెద్దవి, 8 కె-4 క్షిపణులను మోసుకుపోగలిగే  సామర్థ్యంతో, మరింత శక్తివంతమైన అణు రియాక్టరును కలిగి ఉంటాయి.

అరిహంత్ తరగతి తరువాత మరింత పెద్ద తరగతి నౌకలను తయారు చెయ్యాలనే ప్రణాళిక కూడ ఉంది. ఈ తరగతి జలాంతర్గాములు 12 నుండి 16 బాలిస్టిక్ క్షిపణులను మోహరించగలవు.[55][56]
