Add {{tlx|talk archive navigation}} to the top of an archive; no parameters required. Archive pages must be numbered, with a capital "A", a space before the number and no leading zeros (for example, <tt>Talk:Foo/Archive 1</tt>) in order for this template to work. If archives are named by some other scheme, use {{tlx|talk archive}} instead.
If you do not wish the template to show links to archive pages that haven't been created yet ([[WP:REDLINK|redlinks]]), set the <tt>noredlinks</tt> parameter to <tt>y</tt>: <tt><nowiki>{{talk archive navigation|noredlinks=y}}</nowiki></tt>. Omitting this parameter or setting it to any other value than <tt>y</tt> causes it to be ignored.
If you want to specify a date range for the period covered, you can use <code>|period=March 2006 to April 2007</code> (as an example) as an optional parameter. The period parameter is freeform, so you can use whatever format you like.
