సోను నిగమ్ (జ. 30 జులై, 1973)[3] ఒక భారతీయ గాయకుడు, నటుడు, వ్యాఖ్యాత. ఎక్కువగా హిందీ సినిమాల్లో పాడుతాడు. అంతే కాకుండా బెంగాలీ, కన్నడ, తెలుగు, తమిళం, మరాఠీ, ఒరియా, గుజరాతీ, అస్సామీ, తుళు, మైథిలీ, నేపాలీ లాంటి అనేక భాషల్లో పాటలు పాడాడు. అనేక దేశీ పాప్ ఆల్బమ్స్ విడుదల చేశాడు. కొన్ని సినిమాల్లో నటించాడు.[4] భారతీయ గాయకుల్లో అత్యధిక పారితోషికం అందుకునే వారిలో ఒకడు.[5][6]

వ్యక్తిగత జీవితం మార్చు

సోనూ నిగం 1973, జులై 30 న ఆగమ్ కుమార్ నిగమ్, శోభ నిగమ్ దంపతులకు హర్యానాలోని ఫరీదాబాదు లో జన్మించాడు.[7] నాలుగేళ్ళ చిరుప్రాయం నుంచే తండ్రితో పాటు వేదికనెక్కి పాటలు పాడటం ప్రారంభించాడు.[8][9] తర్వాత తండ్రితో పాటే అనేక శుభకార్యాల్లో పాటల కార్యక్రమాల్లో పాల్గొంటూ వచ్చాడు. 18 ఏళ్ళ వయసుకు బాలీవుడ్ లో ప్రవేశం కోసం తండ్రితో పాటు ముంబైకి వచ్చాడు.[10] హిందుస్తానీ గాయకుడు గులాం ముస్తఫా ఖాన్ దగ్గర శిక్షణ తీసుకున్నాడు.[11]

2002 ఫిబ్రవరి 15 న మాధురితో అతని వివాహం జరిగింది.[12]

హిందీ, బెంగాలీ, అస్సామీ, భోజ్ పురీ, ఇంగ్లీషు, కన్నడం, మలయాళం, మైథిలి, మరాఠీ, నేపాలీ, ఒరియా, పంజాబీ, తుళు, తమిళం, తెలుగు, ఉర్దూ లాంటి అనేక భాషల్లో ప్రేమ, దేశభక్తి, రాక్, వేదనా భరిత గీతాలను ఆలపించాడు. హిందీ, కన్నడ, ఒరియా, చత్తీఘరీ, పంజాబీ భాషల్లో పాప్ ఆల్బమ్స్ విడుదల చేశాడు. హిందూ, ఇస్లాం భక్తి గీతాల పాటలతో పాటు బౌద్ధ మతానికి సంబంధించిన ఆల్బమ్స్ కూడా రూపకల్పన చేశాడు.

అమెరికా, యూరోపు, మధ్య ప్రాచ్య దేశాలు, ఆఫ్రికా, ఆసియా, ఆస్ట్రేలియా లాంటి దేశాల్లో ప్రదర్శనలిచ్చాడు. 2007 సెప్టెంబరు, అక్టోబరు నెలల్లో సింప్లీ సోను అనే పేరుతో కెనడా, జర్మనీ దేశాల్లో వ్యక్తిగత ప్రదర్శనలిచ్చాడు. ఒక భారతీయుడు ఇలాంటి ప్రదర్శనలివ్వడం అదే మొదటి సారి.[13]

మైకేల్ జాక్సన్ మరణించిన తర్వాత అతని మృతికి నివాళిగా ఒక పాటను విడుదల చేశాడు. ఈ పాటను అతని స్మృతికి నివాళిగా రూపొందించిన ద బీట్ ఆఫ్ అవర్ హార్ట్స్ అనే ఆల్బం లో చేర్చారు.[14]

ముస్లింలు పెద్ద పెద్ద శబ్దాలు వచ్చే లౌడ్ స్పీకర్లలో ప్రార్థన చేయడం తనకు నిద్రా భంగం కలుగుతోందని తన ట్విటర్ ఖాతాలో ప్రకటించడం వివాదానికి దారి తీసింది.[15] తరువాత తను ఏ మతానికి వ్యతిరేకం కాదనీ, మసీదుల్లోనైనా, దేవాలయాల్లోనైనా శబ్ద పరిమితికి మించిన స్పీకర్లు వాడకానికే తను వ్యతిరేకమని ప్రకటించాడు.[16] తన నిద్ర నిజంగా పాడవుతుందనేదానికి సాక్ష్యంగా ఉదయం తన ఇంట్లో తీసిన వీడియోను ఎక్కించడంతో ఈ వివాదం మరింత ముదిరింది.[17] పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ ఐక్య మైనారిటీ సమితి అధ్యక్షుడు సయ్యద్ షా అతీఫ్ అలీ అల్ ఖురేషీ ఇతని తలను గుండు గీసిన వారికి పది లక్షల నజరానా ప్రకటించాడు. ఇందుకు సమాధానంగా సోనూ తన గుండు తానే గీసుకున్నాడు.[18]

ఈ వివాదాలకు కారణమైన తన ట్విటర్ ఖాతా స్వేచ్ఛగా అభిప్రాయాలు వెల్లడించేందుకు సరైంది కానిదిగా భావించి మే 24, 2017 న తొలగించాడు.[19]
