బహుజన్ సమాజ్ పార్టీ
బహుజన్ సమాజ్ పార్టీ భారతదేశంలో ఒక జాతీయ పార్టీ. సమాజంలో హెచ్చు సంఖ్యలో ఉన్నవారికి (వెనుకబడిన కులాలు, హరిజనులు, గిరిజనులు, మత పరంగా మైనారిటీ) ప్రాతినిథ్యం ఇవ్వడానికి ఏర్పడ్డ పార్టీ ఇది.[2] ఈ పార్టీని 1984 లో కాన్షీరామ్ స్థాపించాడు. ఆయన ఈ పార్టీ ఏర్పాటు చేసినపుడు భారతదేశంలో సుమారు 6000 కులాల్లో వర్గీకరించబడిన బహుజనులు మొత్తం జనాభాలో 85% ఉన్నారని అంచనా వేశాడు.[3][4] ఈ పార్టీ గౌతమ బుద్ధుడు, బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్, జ్యోతిబా ఫూలే, నారాయణ గురు, పెరియార్ రామస్వామి, ఛత్రపతి సాహు మహరాజ్ మొదలైన వారి ఆదర్శాలతో ప్రారంభించినట్లు చెప్పారు.[5] కాన్షీరామ్ 2001 లో మాయావతిని తన వారసురాలిగా ప్రకటించాడు. ఈ పార్టీ ప్రధానంగా ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ లో కేంద్రీకృతమై ఉంది. 2019 భారత సాధారణ ఎన్నికల్లో ఆ రాష్ట్రంలో 19.3 శాతం ఓట్లు సాధించి రెండో అతి పెద్ద పార్టీగా ఉన్నది.[6] 2022 అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల్లో 12.8 శాతం ఓట్లతో మూడో అతిపెద్ద పార్టీగా నిలిచింది.[7] ఈ పార్టీ గుర్తు ఏనుగు. ఇదే గుర్తును అంబేద్కర్ గిరిజన తెగల సమాఖ్య గుర్తుగా వాడేవాడు.[8]
