మహీ గిల్
రింపీ కౌర్ గిల్ (జననం 1975 డిసెంబరు 19) భారతీయ నటి. ఆమె ప్రధానంగా హిందీ, పంజాబీ చిత్ర పరిశ్రమలలో పని చేస్తోంది.[1] ఆమె అనురాగ్ కశ్యప్ రూపొందించి, విమర్శకుల ప్రశంసలు పొందిన హిందీ చిత్రం దేవ్.డిలో పారో పాత్రకు ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. ఈ చిత్రానికి మూలం శరత్ చంద్ర ఛటోపాధ్యాయ రచించిన బెంగాలీ నవల దేవదాస్‌. ఈ చిత్రానికిగాను ఆమె ఉత్తమ నటిగా 2010 ఫిల్మ్‌ఫేర్ క్రిటిక్స్ అవార్డు గెలుచుకుంది. దేవ్.డితో బాలీవుడ్‌లోకి అడుగుపెట్టడానికి ముందు ఆమె పంజాబీ చిత్రాలలో తన కెరీర్‌ను ప్రారంభించింది.[2]

సాహెబ్, బివి ఔర్ గ్యాంగ్‌స్టర్, అలాగే దాని సీక్వెల్, సాహెబ్, బివి ఔర్ గ్యాంగ్‌స్టర్ రిటర్న్స్‌ చిత్రాలలో లైంగికంగా విసుగు చెందిన భార్య మాధవి దేవి పాత్రను పోషించి ఆమె మరింత గుర్తింపు పొందింది.

ఆమె 1975 డిసెంబరు 19న చండీగఢ్‌లో పంజాబీ జాట్ సిక్కు కుటుంబంలో జన్మించింది.[3] ఆమె 1998లో చండీగఢ్‌లోని పంజాబ్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం నుండి థియేటర్‌లో మాస్టర్స్ డిగ్రీని పూర్తి చేసింది.[4]
కెరీర్ మార్చు
పంజాబీ ఆధారంగా 2003లో వచ్చిన బాలీవుడ్ చిత్రం హవాయిన్‌తో ఆమె మంచి పేరు తెచ్చుకుంది. దీనికి ముందు ఆమె థియేటర్‌తో పాటు రెండు పంజాబీ చిత్రాలను చేసింది. దేవ్.డి చిత్రంలో పారో పాత్రలో నటించింది.[5] ఆమె రామ్ గోపాల్ వర్మ నాట్ ఎ లవ్ స్టోరీ (2011)లో చేసింది, ఇది 2008లో జరిగిన నీరాజ్ గ్రోవర్ హత్య కేసు ఆధారంగా రూపొందించబడింది.[6]
2011 సెప్టెంబరు 30న విడుదలైన సాహెబ్, బివి ఔర్ గ్యాంగ్‌స్టర్ చిత్రంలో ఆమె జిమ్మీ షీర్‌గిల్, రణదీప్ హుడాలతో కలిసి నటించింది. ఈ చిత్రం ఆమెకు ఉత్తమ నటిగా ఫిల్మ్‌ఫేర్ అవార్డ్స్‌లో నామినేషన్ దక్కింది.[7]
ఆమె ఇర్ఫాన్ ఖాన్‌తో పాన్ సింగ్ తోమర్‌లో నటించింది. డకాయిట్‌గా మారిన ఓ క్రీడాకారుడి నిజమైన కథ ఇది. ఇందులో ఆమె టైటిల్ క్యారెక్టర్ భార్యగా నటించింది. ఆమె అపూర్వ లఖియా చిత్రం తూఫాన్‌తో తెలుగు చిత్రసీమలోనూ తన అరంగేట్రం చేసింది, ఇది హిందీ వెర్షన్ జంజీర్‌తో ఏకకాలంలో చిత్రీకరించబడింది. తిగ్మాన్షు ధూలియా చిత్రం బుల్లెట్ రాజాలో ఆమె తన మొట్టమొదటి ఐటెమ్ సాంగ్ చేసింది.[8]
మహేష్ మంజ్రేకర్ దర్శకత్వం వహించిన వెబ్ సిరీస్ '1962 ది వార్ ఇన్ ది హిల్స్'లో ఆమె నటించింది. ఈ సిరీస్‌లో అభయ్ డియోల్, సుమీత్ వ్యాస్, ఆకాష్ థోసర్ తదితరులు ఉన్నారు.[9]
